On the morning after Christmas 2008 we went to check on a horse (Honey) we were planning on moving to a better location. We were concerned about the care she was getting there.There was a bad winter storm with freezing weather and no way for Honey to get her feet out of the muck and no shelter for her. Surprisingly, it turned out that there was a baby horse born there the night before (Christmas day)! But the owners of the farm were off the island for Christmas. There was nobody there to help the baby and mother. There was no food or bedding in the stall and the baby couldn’t stand. We got the baby on it’s feet and put some nice bedding down, then came back the next morning to feed mom again. Hopefully the owners came back home the day after that. I had to leave the island but have seen the baby a few times since. She survived but is kinda ugly now. LOL

A review of the book by CJ “Mom of 3 on Earth and 4 who fly” Having suffered a stillbirth two months ago, a bereavement nurse gave this book to me today. It couldn’t have been published at a better time. It is so poignant, touching and beautiful. It made me cry, but it is a healing cry. My husband and friends were equally moved by it. I am ordering it for my angel baby’s grandparents and will tuck my copy safely away in my memory box like the treasure that it is and review it from time to time for heartwarming hopefulness. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone who has suffered the loss of a precious baby through miscarriage or stillbirth.

LORD thank you for a healthy beautiful baby and safe delivery for my wife. August represents the number 8 which is new beginnings and the number 7 is completion. For my God is bringing new beginnings in our household and every blessing will be complete.
Our baby girl, Layna Jeslyn Harris was born on Monday August 7th, 2006 at 9:51am. She is 7 Ibs & 3 oz. She has my wife’s beautiful deep brown eyes and her beauty shines so clear. Our oldest daugther LaNise (16) and LaNere (13), has been a tremendous help throughout the pregnancy. Kids I love you so dearly.
To Doctors Shawn Davies, Michael Colgroves, your comforting words through out our Doctor’s visit were very comforting and thank your for an outstanding team work during our delivery, Doctor Sara Verghese, thank you for welcoming our new baby, and to the nurses, & receptionists of Rush University Medical Center of Chicago, IL; the hospitality we’ve received was indeed pleasant & heartfelt!
