Will an infant carseat fit in the back of a 2006 corolla?

admin on Dec-17-2009

We are planning a family and I am concerned about an infant seat fitting in my car. I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla LE. Will an infant seat fit safely (level and snug) in the backseat in this car? I really love the idea of the infant seat when they are younger, not the convertible at first.

Is there one seat that is better that another?

i have a 2004 corolla hatch back
my son has a convertable seat . and that fits fine , tho its very squishy if you want to put 2 more passengers in the back .
when its was rear facing it couldnt be secured in the middle because of the split down the middle of the seats . so it was behind the passenger seat .
it was tight .. the top of his car seat would be touching the top back of the passenger seat.
A friend of mine put her capsual in my car for her daughter and that was fine .

  1. Julia Said,

Go to the store. Most stores will let you take the floor models out to your car to try out the fit.

Absolutely! It’ll be a tight fit. But cars are designed to accommodate a child seat.
