I am looking for a sling infant carrier that I can use from birth and up. What is the best one for this. I will be using it for nursing and just general carrying.

i have a ring sling by celebsling, its very comfortable for going around the house and for walks but nursing on the go is something very hard to do, and i doubt you will find a sling or carrier that allows you to do it comfortably. Boppy pillows are super comfortable when breastfeedin though i reccomend them. x

I am due with a baby girl in less than a month and am thinking about getting her ears pierced around 8 mos. Is that too early? Anyone know of any problems or health risks this can pose?

You can pierce baby’s ears as soon as 2 months. There is risk for infection. To prevent infection clean her piercing with the solution you will get. If you don’t trust the piercing stations at the mall you can ask her doctor to do it. Most doctors will since it is easy and MUCH safer.

I would suggest that you skip the crib bedding and only buy a fitted crib sheet. Any other soft or loose bedding is a suffocation hazard and is linked to SIDS. this includes soft bumpers, pillows, quilts, toys, etc. If you want a bumper, get the breathable kind.

If you think the baby needs a blanket, use a sleep sack. Halo makes really good ones. If you’re having a summer baby, you can probably skip it and just get footed sleepers instead (it is also a SIDS risk if the baby overheats at night). If you do get a sleep sack, cotton is not as hot as fleece. Make sure the room is kept at a comfortable temperature so the baby does not get too hot at night.

i would like to know , when it’s advisory to allow newborn baby to fly in airplane without any risk and complication?

I took my daughter on a plane to visit my mother when she was a month old. The only worry is a fussy baby when the changes in altitude cause pain or ears to pop (And we all know how people hate a fussy baby). Letting them suck on a bottle during takeoffs and landings usually prevent it.

Or are they just there for show and cliche’ like every cot should have a baby mobile.

they are loud, fall off all the time and not worth it. Try the fisher price waterfall soother instead. It is a lifesaver as you can adjust the volume, very soothing, and the dim light is just enough to breastfeed in the dark My daughter hated her cot mobile..expensive waste of money!
