We’ve been cycling illnesses through our family this week. My daughter (almost 10 months) has a cold and vommitted once today (maybe due to drainage?)

She is sleeping a lot. When she is awake she is cuddly, and then wants to go back to sleep. She is still drinking some formula, appetite is decreased.

How much does your infant sleep when ill? What is considered excessive sleeping?
If she isn’t feeling better by monday I will of course take her in Or if she worsens before then.

My son is 7 months a lately he had alot of congestion and running nose also, yes she more than likely threw up due to the mucous. Since they dont spit it out they just swallow it. Take care of it asap. Poor baby. My son would sleep off and on then wake up crying from the cough then go back to sleep. The doctor said it is normal. Good luck!

My baby is due end of September. She will initially be in a moses basket in our bedroom before moving to her cotbed. I’m planning on using baby sleeping bags/grow bags for her but what other bedding/sheets will I need for the moses basket and cotbed?

The AAP recommends only a tight-fitting sheet for where your baby sleeps. YOu probably also want a mattress pad and an extra sheet or twow for when their are nighttime leaks! My dd was born in October, and I did not use any blanket for her because of the SIDS risk. Instead, I would layer her sleeping sacks/pjs – like doing a long sleeve/footed pj under her sleep sack, or else a sleeveless sleep sack under a longer sleeve one in a bigger size. And she always had a onsie on underneath still for warmth. Between all those layers she was warm but still safe!

I know the Combi Twin Sport does but is there any others that aren’t hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I am hoping to find something that is compatible with my Evenflo infant carrier.
My son will be 26 months when my new baby is born. He is very small (about 23lbs right now at 23 months) and has very short legs so we don’t let him walk around stores and stuff like that.

I have one that is not side by side, and I’ve never seen a side by side in the store like you are describing. How old will your second child be when the new one is born? My son was 21 months old and I thought I HAD to have a double stroller. It sits in the garage collecting dust. My oldest didn’t want to sit in it at all. It was more struggle trying to get him in it and stay in it then I would have liked. We’ve used it on rare occasions when were are walking long distances-parades, zoo, etc. but that’s it. I’m glad I purchased it on Craigslist and didn’t waste my money.

You could get a comic book, make a transparency of the characters ( you’ll have to do this yourself as they are licensed characters ) Get a hold of an overhead projector, and trace, then paint them on the walls. The bedding could pick up one of the colors in your painting. Fill in the room with collectibles and such.
